Mr. Conroy co-manages the firm’s Community Association department. His practice is focused on community association law, representing condominium and HOA clients throughout the greater metro Atlanta area.  At GDCR, Mr. Conroy advises managers and board members on all facets of community association topics including board governance, covenant enforcement, drafting and interpreting governing documents, community association litigation and the collection of assessments.

Prior to joining GDCR, Mr. Conroy practiced community association law at Moore & Reese, LLC as well as another Georgia community association law firm. He is general counsel for a variety of association clients including Atlanta high-rise condominiums, large suburban homeowners’ associations, mixed-use and commercial condominium developments as well as smaller townhome-style developments.  Mr. Conroy has also been lead counsel in numerous community association collection and enforcement cases throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Mr. Conroy attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate education and Georgia State University’s College of Law for his law degree.  While in law school, Mr. Conroy was a student attorney in the Philip C. Cook Low Income Taxpayer Clinic where he represented taxpayers otherwise unable to afford legal representation.  He graduated with high pro bono distinction in recognition of his volunteer work.  While an undergraduate at the University of Georgia, Mr. Conroy took part in a number of student extracurricular activities and graduated from UGA with academic distinction.

  • Assisted townhome client in successfully navigating a $700,000 roof replacement project;
  • Successfully resolved dispute involving, among other things, whether an owner’s lot was properly submitted to the association’s covenants and restrictions.  Pennbrooke Homeowners Association, Inc. v. Robinson, Civil Action 2016CV274949;
  • Successfully argued in open court that a condominium client was entitled to the entire debt owed by overseas owner, including all attorney fees incurred seeking to perfect service, and later obtained payment in full of all amounts awarded to client within six months from when the judgment was entered.  Columbia Square Condominium Association, Inc. v. Grinberg, Civil Action 17CV10988.
