Farmer and Sallis Named Chair and Vice Chair, School & College Law Section for Georgia Bar

Randall Farmer, a Member of Gregory Doyle’s Education Law practice group, has been named Chair, School and College Law Section for the Georgia Bar Association. Additionally, he is a Member of the Employment Law Section for the Georgia Bar. Randall has more than 20 years of experience advising school districts on a variety of legal issues, including school employees, student matters, procurement, contracts and open records. He works with large and small school districts throughout the state of Georgia.

Sonya Sallis, also a Member of GCDR’s Education Law team, has been named Vice Chair for the School and College Law Bar Section. Sonya helps Georgia school boards, administrators and instructors respond to the legal and regulatory challenges facing school districts today. She also provides training to school boards, school and District-level administrators and educators on topics such as special education, student disciplinary tribunals, due process, federal non-discrimination laws, bullying, FERPA compliance and other legal challenges.
