A Marietta native, Laura Bottoms Higginbotham, is a joint member of GDCR’s Trusts & Estates and Tax practice and Business Transactions & Corporate practice. She represents clients across a broad range of legal matters and focuses on tax, estate planning, and estate administration to individuals and families, as well as privately held businesses. Ms. Higginbotham attended Georgia State University College of Law and graduated in the top 3% of her class. Prior to law school, Ms. Higginbotham spent more than a decade growing a career as a life insurance advisor for high-net worth individuals and families in the Marietta area.

Ms. Higginbotham has significant experience in estate planning as a former high-net worth life insurance advisor for more than a decade in the Marietta area. Ms. Higginbotham also has prior experience in family law including grandparent visitation rights, divorce, custody, child support, alimony, the division of property, and more. Now, Ms. Higginbotham focuses her practice on comprehensive estate planning for individuals, couples, and families at various stages of their lives. This includes Wills, Trusts (Revocable Living Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Irrevocable Gifting Trusts), Family-based Entity Organization, Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives for Health Care, and more.
