William “Billy” Miles, a member of GDCR’s Litigation Practice Group, has extensive experience representing public, private and governmental employers throughout the country in litigation matters under federal and state statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Pay Act. Mr. Miles has defended employers in all types of employment litigation from single plaintiff cases to class action lawsuits.
Mr. Miles has a robust employment counseling and litigation practice. As a trusted advisor, he routinely provides advice to employers about the practical and legal implications of everyday employment decisions, including drafting and negotiating employment agreements and restrictive covenants, implementing effective workplace policies and practices, disciplining and terminating employees, conducting sensitive workplace investigations and payroll audits, and preventing discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace.
In addition to his experience as an employment litigator, Mr. Miles also represents companies and individuals in a variety of other litigation matters, including real estate disputes, trust and estate litigation, theft of trade secrets, violation of non-compete agreements, and general business disputes.
